This option will allow advanced users to make adjustments using the meter as needed, improving the accuracy of CGM readings in certain situations.
Since the calibration action is irreversible and applies ONLY to the current sensor, please strictly follow the following precautions.
Important precautions during calibration
Manual calibration requires strict adherence to strict rules to avoid negatively affecting the accuracy of the sensor:
1. Version and preparation requirements
App version: the feature is available in versions V01.16.02.05 (for iOS) or V01.16.02.08 (for Android) and above. Users should confirm that the iCan Health app has been updated before calibrating.
Network: before performing calibration, ensure that the mobile device is in a stable network environment to avoid data errors.
2. Strict time limits
Initial period: the software strictly prohibits calibration within 150 minutes of initial sensor placement (wearing).
Stability of readings: calibrate only when CGM readings have been stable for at least 30 minutes.
It is recommended to calibrate in the morning on an empty stomach.
Avoid calibrating when glucose levels are changing rapidly (e.g., after meals, exercise, or recent insulin administration).
Frequency: the software limits calibration operations to no more than once every 30 minutes.
3. Meter accuracy
Procedure: follow standard and correct fingerstick blood glucose testing procedures.
Implications: calibration based on inaccurate meter readings will result in unreliable subsequent CGM readings.
A successful calibration will be recorded as a “finger prick” event in the glucose graph on the main interface. After the calibration event takes effect, the following CGM readings will change gradually
