The BPAP device provides two levels of positive pressure: higher during inhalation (IPAP) and lower during exhalation (EPAP).
This technology imitates the natural breathing process, facilitating the work of the respiratory muscles.
acute respiratory failure;
cardiogenic respiratory disorders;
obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (OSAS);
recovery of respiratory function after mechanical ventilation and correction of oxygenation disorders;
support and recovery of breathing in the postoperative period in weakened patients;
rehabilitation of patients with post-COVID syndrome.
The use of BIPAP equipment provides effective support for respiratory function, which contributes to a faster and safer recovery of patients.
This mode operates on the basis of the patient’s spontaneous breathing. Switching between these phases of IPAP and EPAP occurs automatically, responding to the patient’s breathing cycles.
It is used for patients with stable spontaneous breathing who require support.
The mode combines the spontaneous mode with a backup timer. If the patient stops breathing or the respiratory rate drops below a set level, the device automatically initiates an inhalation at a set time. This is an ideal choice for patients with unstable breathing or at risk of apnea.
This mode operates exclusively according to the timer set by the doctor, regardless of the patient’s respiratory effort. The device alternates IPAP and EPAP according to a set cycle. It is used for patients who are completely dependent on mechanical ventilation, for example, due to a violation of the respiratory center.
Other main functions
Ramp Time
The device gradually increases the pressure from the initial to the therapeutic pressure to ensure a comfortable transition to sleep. The ramp time is adjustable from 0 to 60 minutes in 5-minute increments, the default value is 30 minutes.
Pmin and Pmax setting
The function allows you to set the minimum and maximum pressure within 4-25 hPa to increase the patient’s comfort. This prevents a sudden increase in pressure in certain sleeping positions that may wake the user. If Pmax = 25 hPa is uncomfortable for the patient, it is recommended to set a lower Pmax value.
Humidifier
The humidification level is adjustable from OFF to 1-5, depending on the environmental conditions, for comfortable use. The factory setting is level 3. The user can change the level manually using the rotary knob on the interface.
Auto On/Off – automatic on/off
The device is equipped with automatic on and off functions for user convenience. Switching on occurs when the mask is put on and the user starts breathing, and switching off occurs when the mask is removed after the therapy is completed. Both functions are customizable.
