LC-APAP is an automatic CPAP device for maintaining positive airway pressure, designed for the treatment of snoring and obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) in adult patients weighing more than 30 kg. APAP automatically adjusts air pressure, depending on the patient’s needs in different phases and positions of sleep, providing consistently effective therapy. Unlike conventional CPAP, where constant pressure is set, APAP adapts, significantly increasing the effectiveness of treatment.
Main functions
Ramp Time – time for gradual pressure increase
The device smoothly increases the pressure from the initial to the therapeutic pressure to ensure a comfortable transition to sleep. The increase time is adjustable from 0 to 60 minutes in 5-minute increments, the default value is 30 minutes.
Breathing Relief Algorithm (EPFlex) – algorithm for easier breathing
The LC-APAP device is equipped with EPFlex expiratory pressure reduction technology. It automatically reduces the air supply pressure during exhalation, providing maximum comfort. The reduction level can be adjusted in clinical mode (long press of the Ramp button and the knob). The maximum pressure reduction is up to 3 cm H₂O.
Setting Pmin and Pmax
The function allows you to set the minimum and maximum pressure within the range of 4-20 hPa to increase the patient’s comfort. This prevents sudden pressure increases in certain sleeping positions that may wake the user. If Pmax = 20 hPa is uncomfortable for the patient, it is recommended to set Pmax to, for example, 18 hPa.
Humidifier
The humidification level is adjustable from OFF to 1-5, depending on the environmental conditions, for comfortable use. The factory setting is level 3. The user can change the level manually using the round knob on the interface.
Auto On/Off
The device is equipped with automatic on and off functions for user convenience. Activation occurs when the mask is put on and the user begins to breathe, and deactivation occurs when the mask is removed at the end of therapy. Both functions are customizable.
